"The main objective of GRP is to ensure safety and security of the passengers & their belongings who are travelling in trains. It is important to have an interface between passengers and the police. We have recently launched Lohmarg helpline no.-1512. GRP has been performing its task in the best possible way with the limited available resources. Our aim has been to make GRP Nagpur people friendly, proactive and responsible. Lot of new initiatives have been taken in this direction and the latest one is to reach out to the people through its web site and the Lohmarg helpline no.-1512. This will give a new platform to the passengers for suggestions and the complaints which will finally help us in improving our effectivness, serving the passengers better and making police more accessible to the citizens at large. I am also confident that Nagpur Railway Police would meet the expectations of the public and strive to do the responsibility assigned to it to the best of its ablity."
